Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and stay for two nights
Day 02: Delhi
Enjoy a full days sightseeing tour of the historical city of Delhi, beginning in the wide avenues of New Delhi, to see Lutyen’s buildings and the India gate memorial, along with the impressive tomb of Humayan and Qutab Minar.
Afternoon you will visit the bustling and vibrant streets of Old Delhi to see the Jama Masjid and Rajghat, the resting place (Samadhi) of Mahatma Gandhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Varanasi
Fly to Varanasi in the morning. Visit Sarnath – the place of Buddha’s first sermon.
Evening visit the ghats of Ganges to witness the ceremonial worship with oil lamps.
Day 04: Varanasi – Khajuraho
Early morning enjoy a boat ride on Ganges River to see devotees offering prayers. Later fly to Khajuraho. Stay overnight.
Afternoon visit the world famous temple of Khajuraho.
Day 05: Khajuraho – Agra
Drive to Jhansi in the morning (5-6 hr, including time to visit temples of Orchha). Visit the temples and palaces of Orchha en route.
Board a train to Agra where you will stay for next two nights.
Day 06: Agra
Visit the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal today.
Day 07: Agra – Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur visiting the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri en route (6-7 hrs including time to visit Fatehpur Sikri).
Stay for two nights
Day 08: Jaipur
Today morning you will visit the impressive Amber fort – which is accessed on elephant’s back.
Afternoon visit the sights of Jaipur including the City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar and the Museum.
Day 09: Jaipur – Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur today (5-6 hrs). Stay for two nights.
Day 10: Jodhpur
Visit the imposing Mehranagarh Fort and Jaswant Thada today.
(Optional: jeep safari to Bishnoi villages)
Day 11: Jodhpur – Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur in the morning (7-8 hrs including time to visit Ranakpur Jain Temple and lunch). En route visit the intricately carved Jain temples at Ranakpur.
Stay in Udaipur for two nights
Day 12: Udaipur
Visit sights of Udaipur – including City Palace, Jagannath temple and Sahelion-ki-bari (Garden of Maids).
Evening enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichola.
Day 13: Udaipur – Delhi
After a leisurely morning, fly to Delhi for overnight stay
Day 14: Leave Delhi
Fly back home.
